MENTORING
Making disciples and building relationships.
Encourage. Guide. Empower. Strengthen.
Finding a mentor is one of the most frequent requests in and outside of the church. Most people feel overwhelmed, alone, or stuck in at least one area of life. We all need someone to help us navigate life. You don't have to be a spiritual expert. Just a few steps ahead in your faith and willing to build someone else up as you keep growing too. Thank you for giving up your time to do that for someone else.

FAQs
When someone reaches out, then what do we do?
When someone contacts you, that’s all it is at first. Have a conversation and see if it’s a fit. If so, you can click “approve” to show it’s officially a connection.
What if I don't like my person?
It happens! On one hand, sometimes it takes a while to make a connection. So be careful not to write someone off too fast, but if you’re sure it’s not a fit, it’s totally OK to share that.
Just be honest. Try something like, “Hey, I’m not sure this is the best match, and I want you to have someone who can be what you need. How about we look in the tool again for someone else?” If you need to tag us in to help, that’s what we’re here for, and you can reach out anytime.
What if something happens that's beyond my experience and I don't know what to do?
Great question! We have a whole pastoral care team who are deeply trained in crisis, addiction, safety concerns, mental health, and more. If something starts happening that you don’t know how to handle, just tag us in. We can help connect your person (or advise you) on how to get the help they need.
