OVERVIEW
Natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and floods have devastated communities in the Caribbean. People have lost homes, livelihoods, and even their loved ones. In addition, poverty, unemployment, and limited access to education and healthcare have disproportionately affected vulnerable populations including women, children, and indigenous communities.
Note: This trip is specifically designed for husband and wife married couples. Due to the programming and lodging for this specific trip, we are only able to accommodate spouses traveling with each other.
IMPACT
You and your spouse will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of those impacted by natural disasters by working to rebuild their home. You will work with our local partner to repair infrastructure and restore hope to families and communities. Through your work and interactions you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the challenges facing communities impacted by natural disasters and explore ways to support long-term recovery efforts. You’ll also have time to work, play, and pray alongside your spouse to grow closer to one another and closer to God.
