We believe God still heals— not just spiritually and emotionally, but physically. This January, every Crossroads site will host a Night of Healing Prayer from 7–8:30pm. You’ll hear from Paul Maconochie, a trusted teacher and friend of our Senior Pastor Brian Tome, experience prayer in action, and have the chance to receive prayer yourself. No signups. No pressure. Just come as you are.

Paul Maconochie is a Pastor from Sheffield, England, where he led a church that became the fastest growing church in the country at the time. Paul now lives in the US and has a vision for helping churches to engage with the power, presence and gifts of the Holy Spirit and engage in prophecy and supernatural healing.

NIGHT OF PRAYER FAQS

What should I expect when I get there?
It’s a night focused on prayer—specifically asking God for physical healing. Got chronic pain, an old injury, or something the doctors can’t figure out? You’re not alone. This night is for you. You’ll hear a short, practical teaching from Paul Maconochie (he’s not preachy, promise), and then you’ll actually get to try it out—either by receiving prayer or praying for someone else. This will be a welcoming environment with no pressure. Just real people asking God to show up and do what only He can.

Do I need to sign up?
No sign ups. Come as you are.

How do I sign up to volunteer?
Members of the Crossroads Prayer Volunteer Teams are invited to serve at one or multiple nights by signing up to serve here (add link). If you are not a member of our prayer team, we encourage you to attend the event where you will have the opportunity to learn more and pray during the event.

Who is this for?
Anyone who is praying for physical healing or who is curious about what the Bible says about healing.

Who is Paul Maconochie?
Paul Maconochie is a Pastor from Sheffield, England, where he led a church that became the fastest growing church in the country at the time. Paul now lives in the US and has a vision for helping churches to engage with the power, presence and gifts of the Holy Spirit and engage in prophecy and supernatural healing.

Will there be childcare?
There won't be childcare available. Use your own discretion about whether your kiddo will be able to sit quietly through a presentation and prayer time. If your child needs physical healing, they're welcome to come and receive.

"Is this healing prayer stuff actually real?"
This is a totally fair question. Paul Maconochie (who's leading these nights) isn't some flashy TV preacher promising instant miracles. He's more like a really good coach who teaches you what the Bible says about healing and then creates space for you to practice it. Some people experience dramatic physical changes, others find emotional breakthrough, and some walk away with simply a deeper sense of peace or new tools for managing stress. All of those matter. The goal isn't to manufacture something spectacular - it's to learn what Scripture teaches and see what God wants to do in that space.

“What if I feel awkward, have doubts, or don’t know what I’m doing?”
Totally okay. You don’t need perfect faith to show up. Bring your questions, your doubts, even your “I’m not sure about this” vibe—seriously. Think of it like walking into a fitness class: some folks have done this before, some haven’t. Nobody expects you to know all the moves and the people who’ve been around for longer usually can’t wait to help someone new feel at home. Everyone’s welcome. Just come as you are and see what happens.

WHAT IS PRAYER?

Prayer is a personal conversation with God. It’s an opportunity to share thoughts, questions, hopes, concerns, struggles and gratitude. It doesn’t require special words, but instead a willingness to be open, listen and reflect. Prayer can be experienced individually or in groups that span from a couple of people to a large community. Most importantly, prayer is honest and from our hearts.

WHY DO WE PRAY?

Prayer brings us closer to God. Jesus role models closeness to God by praying and listening to God. As followers of Jesus, we model our lives after Him. Prayer changes hearts, perspectives and lives.
